Mother’s Day Gifts I Love

I am actually not a gifts person. I don’t love to shop and would rather have an experience than a thing. Many of my favorite things I have bought lately are either completely practical or really more a gift for those I love… which feels like a gift for me because I get to watch them enjoy it AND if it is for my kids then it helps entertain them!
Like my awesome new Shark Vacuum I got on sale that actually cleans our house of 6 and a dog. Or new shiny, white, clean toilet seats. Who knew you could so easily just replace an old toilet seat! My husband… he knows everything. The favorite thing we got, if you are a pool owner, is a Pool Basketball Goal! It has already provided hours of fun.
So even though I am kinda low maintenance and boring… I have provided a short, but I think UNIQUE and good list of gifts for Mother’s Day.

Beauty/Body
Daylight Lotion, Nightlight Lotion and Gentle Facial Bar- my simple skincare routine to keep my skin nourished but toxin free, I have been loving these products for 6 years
Every woman loves a fun lipgloss/lip oil or lipstick and these nontoxic ones are my favorite! Namaste is my go to for a lipgloss/lip oil and Rosewood is my preferred lip crayon color but they are all wonderful! I also use their Blush, Concealer and Tinted SPF.
Rowe Casa Lymphatic Cream– I just discovered this stuff last week! For weeks I had been telling my husband I just felt like my lymph node in my neck was clogged… that it felt like a lump when I swallowed. One application and it feels completely normal now! I also love their Sinus and Allergy Throat Gargle and Gua Sha Stone.

Cooking/Food
Ice Cream Maker- on sale!! I use our ice cream make every single week this time of year. Summer is meant for cool desserts like ice cream and popsicles. I LOVE this ice cream maker and it has served our family well for many years.
Endangered Species Caramel And Sea Salt Chocolate Bars– this is my favorite store bought treat. It is not cheap which is why 1. it is a special treat, 2. it is perfect for a mother’s day gift, and 3. It is cheaper to buy it in bulk.
Cute Cooking Apron– I wear an apron almost every single time I cook and do dishes. It protects my clothes from oil and water splashing and gives me a quick place to wipe my hands. Every cook needs a good apron.
The Defined Dish Cookbook– a friend got me this cookbook a few years back and is the only one I sometimes cook from. Her cooking style is simple and healthy, like mine. It would be a great gift for the mom’s in your life.

Family Time
Regular Family time for us usually means movie nights, walks outside, throwing the football, jumping on the trampoline, swimming and games. You will also find us riding scooters and bikes together, blowing bubbles and coloring. Nothing fancy…just time together.
One of the most creative things you can do for the mom that loves quality time… a family experiences jar! Gather up the kiddos and get some paper and pens. Write things y’all can do together! Get ice cream, go for a walk, go bowling, go swimming, pick strawberries or blueberries, ride bikes, go for a hike, go to dinner together, watch a movie, everyone pitch in and clean the house for mom… the options are endless.
Here is a BEAUTIFUL CERAMIC JAR with lid that you can use for the quality time ideas but then mama can reuse it for decoration or flowers once done!
Never underestimate some fresh flowers and a little quality time.
Travel
Weekender Travel Bag– I recently went on a weekend away with some friends and someone sweetly commented on my weekend tote bag… It was from high school. And then I realized I’m 42 years old and maybe it is now time for a new bag that is a little more adult looking and has some function to it like pockets. Mercy I can be so cheap and oblivious sometimes. So, if your mom is like me, get her a cute new bag for weekends away or to use as a carry on for flights.
Ultimate Mind Games Puzzle Book– I LOVE this puzzle book. It has multiple kinds of puzzles and is a smaller size so it is perfect for puzzles. Keep the mind sharp and pass the time with this little guy.
Clothing
2 piece Athletic Skirt and shirt Set– I am loving the soft fabrics these days and always appreciating wearing clothes that are comfy and loose. This classic set comes in so many colors and is so soft.
Shirt and Shorts Set from Sam’s Club- I also just go this set and LOVE it. I like that you can buy different sizes in the top and bottoms if need be. Shorts and Shirt Links.
High Waisted Flowy Athletic Skort– I have shared this skort so many times. I think I now own 4 of them and 2 of the golf ones. They are just so comfy, hit perfect on my waist and are affordable! So many fun colors!
Gardening
My garden is looking good this spring! I have broccoli, mini watermelon, peas, green beans, cucumbers and peppers coming in! Along with my herbs with microgreens. All my favorite go to garden items can be found HERE!
